Four multi-skill development centres to come up in Punjab

Punjab government will set up four multi-skill development centres will be set up in the state to impart necessary training among students.
The centres will come up at Amritsar, Ludhiana, Bathinda and Hoshiarpur, Punjab Principal Secretary, Technical Education, A R Talwar said, adding that 50,000 students will be trained at these centres every year.
He said an amount of Rs 2.5 crore has been sanctioned for upgrading of ITIs under PPP mode, and Rs 7 crore for ITIs upgrading to centre of excellence.
