Four persons killed in road accident

Four persons, including a woman, were killed in a road accident near a village in Katihar district of Bihar, a police officer said today.
The incident took place late last night near Kheria village when a speeding truck rammed into an autorickshaw kiiling its four passengers, including a woman, on the spot, Korha police station in-charge Ajit Kumar said.
The bodies were handed over to the families for last rites after post-mortem, he said.
The truck driver sped away with his vehicle, Kumar said.
The incident sparked off a protest by the local people who blocked Katihar-Korha road for two hours demanding compensation to the kins of the victims.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators, he said.
