France-Libya migrant plan 'not possible at moment': French

The French presidency said today that a plan announced by President Emmanuel Macron to create migrant registration centres in Libya this summer "was not possible at the moment" for security reasons.
A presidency official said France would instead study the feasibility of setting up migrant "hotspots" in Libya, Niger and Chad, but hoped that they could be opened in Libya "in the short term".
