Freight rates down on ample position of trucks

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations dropped by Rs 500 in the local truck transport market today following ample position of trucks in the markets.
Transporters said as compared to cargo movements, trucks availability were higher, so some of destinations freight rates ruled lower.
Delhi to Jaipur, Ludhiana and Indore freight rates moved down by Rs 500 each to Rs 14,000, Rs 17,000 and Rs 19,000.
Ahmedabad, Baroda, Pune, Patna and Kolkata rates were also quoted lower by Rs 500 each at Rs 20,000, Rs 23,000, Rs 28,000, Rs 23,000 and Rs 30,000.
