The freight revenue of the Nagpur division of Central Railway dropped by Rs 140 crore between April 1 and Nov 9 this year, a top official said.
The revenue which was Rs 1,287 crore last year in the same period shrank to Rs 1,147 crore this year, Divisional Railway Manager O P Singh said.
He said stoppage of bulk coal loading for a Karnataka power plant near Ballarshah was one of the reasons for fall in the revenue.
Singh said new weekly trains between Nagpur-Amritsar and Nagpur-Pune were expected to roll out in two months.
