Freights for select centres fall on restricted cargo movements

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Goa, Guwahati and Mumbai declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today due to restricted movements of cargo against ample position of trucks.
Transporters said in addition to easy availability of trucks, restricted cargo movements pulled down some centres' freight rates.
Delhi to Goa, Guwahati and Mumbai rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 49,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 26,000, respectively.
Elsewhere, other centres' freight rates managed to hold overnight levels on some support.
