Acting on a tip-off, five persons were nabbed form DM College ground here yesterday while they were allegedly planning another robbery, SSP Mukhvinder Singh said.
Sharp-edged weapons and two bikes were recovered from their possession, he said.
The gang had been operating for the last one year in Moga and adjoining districts and was allegedly involved in more than a dozen robbery and snatching incidents, Singh said.
The accused were identified as Taj Ali, Bhola Singh and Lakhvir Singh, from Mehron village of Moga district, Jagatpal Singh of Droli Bhai village and Bali of Moga, police said.
