Gang of auto-lifters busted

With the arrest of three persons, police today claimed to have busted a gang of auto-lifters active in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad.
The accused have been identified as Yogendra Sharma, Pradeep Kumar and Feeroj, all residents of Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
Acting on a tip off that three vehicle-lifters, who were waned in several vehicle-theft cases, were coming towards Siyani Gate area near Old Bus Stand last night, police laid a trap and arrested all the three accused.
"We have arrested all three accused, who used to steal vehicles in Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida and sell them by removing their registration plates. All accused have confessed to their involvement in a number of vehicle-theft cases," said a senior police officer.

They said the accused were being interrogated about hideouts of their accomplices, adding that besides, their criminal records were being scanned and further arrests would be made soon.
