At Jewar, police registered assault and gang rape attempt case against six persons including a father and son. The victim had claimed the incident took place three months ago.
Some villagers from Nekpur had forcibly taken her to the fields, assaulted her and attempted to rape her.
When she raised an alarm other villagers had come to her rescue and the accused fled.
Police had refused to lodge the FIR then after which she had approached the court.
LLB student Shubham Bhati had alleged a month ago some persons had assaulted him due to enmity but police did not register an FIR saying he was lying.
He had then moved court for filing of FIR. A case has now been registered against accused Inraj, Ramesh Chand and eight unknown assailants.
