The woman was found lying unconscious in a village of Kalanaur sub-division of the district yesterday, they said.
The woman was allegedly kidnapped from near her house on Friday night and gangraped by a group of five men from Rohtak.
After the incident, the woman took the extreme step by hanging herself in her home, DSP, Rohtak, Pushpa Khatri said.
Earlier, the victim's kin had told the police that the former had gone missing since Friday night when she went out out of her house to relieve herself.
She was later taken to a hospital in Rohtak by police where her medical examination was conducted.
The victim had yesterday told the police that one of the accused Sunil, who has been arrested, hailed from her village, and he along with his friends took her to some place where they sexually assaulted her.
"Efforts are on to arrest the other accused," Khatri said.
