Ganja transported in mobile phones, three students arrested

Three class 10 students thought they had stumbled upon a novel way of transporting cannabis by concealing it the battery slot of their mobile phones, but ended up getting caught by excise officials.
The trio, including two minors, were arrested here yesterday, excise department sources said.
While two of the minor boys were sent to a juvenile home, the 18-year-old was produced before a court here this morning and remanded, excise sources said.
The trio are 10th standard students of a local school.
They procured the ganja from Cumbum village in Tamil Nadu, the sources said.
