Ganja worth Rs 1.40 cr seized in Madurai, two held

Around 140 kgs of ganja worth Rs 1.40 crore, meant to be smuggled to Kerala, was today seized from a car here and two persons were arrested in this connection, police said.
Acting on tip-off, a team of narcotic intelligence bureau officials intercepted the car on Pandikoil road here this morning and seized the narcotic substance hidden in it, they said.
Two persons have been arrested in connection with the seizure of the narcotic worth Rs 1.40 in the illicit market, which was procured from Andhra Pradesh, they added.
