Justice Paresh Upadhyay kept the matter for further hearing for next week after Chaudhary sought time for filing his reply to the no-confidence motion passed by board of directors.
A no-confidence motion seeking ouster of Chaudhary for alleged mismanagement in affairs of the federation was passed on December 5 in a meeting of board of directors in Anand.
However, as per the high court's order the resolution to oust Chaudhary cannot be implemented till the court hears the petition filed by Chaudhary against it.
However, the court said that the decision taken in the meeting cannot be implemented without its permission.
The developments in largest dairy which markets its products under brand name Amul had raised question marks on its management.
In October, 14 out of 17 member unions of the GCMMF board had moved no-confidence motion against Chaudhary who was elected as its chairman in August 2012. Chaudhary had approached Gujarat high court against the motion.
Its daily milk procurement is approximately 13 million litres, from 16, 914 village milk co-operative societies, 17 member unions covering 24 districts, and 3.18 million milk producer members.
