Gehlot exempts irrigation tax in 519 villages till July 15

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given approval to exempt irrigation tax in scarcity-hit 519 villages of 16 district till July 15.
Farmers in the villages, which are facing scarcity, in Alwar, Bharatpur, Barmer, Baran, Bikaner, Dausa, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhalawar, Karauli, Nagaur, Sawaimadhopur, Tonk and Pratapgarh districts will get relief with the decision, according to a spokesperson.
