A generator set and a motorcycle were torched allegedly by activists of the banned outfit 'Trutiya Prastuti Committee' (TPC), police said on Wednesday.
A group of miscreants raided a crusher plant in Bardiha village under Chatarpur police station of Palamau district, and set ablaze the generator set and motorcycle on Tuesday night, SDPO Sambhu Kumar Singh said.
Singh said it was yet to be ascertained whether the incident was the handiwork of TPC.
A handwritten chit was recovered from the spot, in which TPC owned responsibility for the incident, he said, adding, police was verifying it.
