"The GHMC is planning to involve the NGOs interested in providing shelters to the old, aged, crippled, disabled, terminal type of beggars for their rehabilitation," GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said today.
A meeting was held recently on this issue and representatives of NGOs initiated discussions and reviewed the status of survey of beggars at various traffic junctions done by NGOs as a part of rehabilitation of beggars in GHMC area.
The NGOs who are interested to lend their support for this cause were aksed to approach and furnish the required details to the Additional Commissioner (Urban Community Development), at GHMC Head Office building, an official release said.
