The company had posted a net profit of Rs 8.48 crore for the same period of previous fiscal, Gillette India Ltd (GIL) said in a statement.
Net sales of the company also increased by 8.45 per cent during the January-March quarter to Rs 493.68 crore as against Rs 455.18 crore in the same period of last fiscal.
The company follows July-June financial year.
GIL's revenue from the grooming segment stood at Rs 355.41 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 324.70 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
While, revenue from oral care segment stood at Rs 116.89 crore as against Rs 109.97 crore in the year-ago period.
Gillette India shares closed 1.54 per cent down at Rs 4,538.95 per scrip on the BSE.
