GIPC inks power purchase deal with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam

Gujarat Industries Power Company today said it has completed inking of a power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) for the 50.4 MW Kuchhdi wind farm.
"..Signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GUVNL for the balance 27.3 MW (2.1 MW x 13 WTGs), out of the 50.4 (2.1MW x 24 WTGs) Wind Power Project at the Kuchhdi Site under the Letter of Intent dated February 12, 2016 issued to Suzlon Energy Ltd," the company said in a BSE filing today.

NTPC's Mouda power station starts commercial operations * State-run power producer NTPC said the first unit of 660 MW of Mouda Super Thermal Power Station Stage-II started commercial operation from today, following which the commercial capacity of NTPC Group reached 46,838 MW.

"1st Unit of 660 MW of Mouda Super Thermal Power Station Stage-II (2 X 660 MW) is declared on commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hrs of February 01, 2017," NTPC Ltd informed BSE today.
With this, the commercial capacity of Mouda Super Thermal Power Station, NTPC and NTPC Group has become 1,660 MW, 40,262 MW and 46,838 MW respectively, it said.

Chamera-III power station to be shut till Mar 31 * State-run NHPC today said its 231 Chamera-III power station in Himachal Pradesh will be under complete shutdown from today till March 31, 2017 for fixing leakage from water conducting system.

"Chamera-lll (3 X 77) 231 MW Power Station in Himachal Pradesh shall be under complete shutdown w.E.F. February 01, 2017 to March 31, 2017 for rectification of leakage from water conducting system," NHPC Ltd said in a BSE filing.
