Girl allegedly abducted, raped inside moving van in Rajkot

A 22-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped in a moving van two days ago, and two persons were arrested in this connection today, police said.
Amit Ahir and Bhavesh Barwad (both 20) allegedly abducted the woman from her house near Nana Mauva area on the night of January 3.
"Amit allegedly raped the girl inside the van," said lady police sub-inspector H D Solanki, who is investigating the case.
Bhavesh drives a school van, and he used to pick up the victim's niece. The same van was used in the crime, she said.
Later, the duo dumped the girl on the road.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Ujjwal Magar, the alleged
mastermind of the crime, was remanded in police custody till December 9, while the five minors were sent to remand home.
Magar, is a student of an English medium school and resident of Cidco's Ashwin Nagar locality.
In a related development, BJP MLA from Nashik, Seema Hiray and party workers, who visited Ambad police station urged cops to take strict action against the guilty.
