A senior police officer said the eight were arrested following complaint by the girl and her companion that their bike was forcibly stopped by the accused on February 2 on the allegation of over-speeding and they were taken to a nearby spot where the girl was raped and her friend severely beaten up.
The complaint was lodged on February 3 but the accused were on the run in following days till they walked into net only this morning.
The rest two, who claimed to be minors, were asked to depose before the court again tomorrow with their age certificates by the court.
The court granted permission to hold a TI parade of the accused.
Three mobiles were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
