A case has been registered after the girl lodged an FIR alleging that the accused had outraged her modesty in the college premises on November 16, they said.
"Cases under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 354 (outraging the modesty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 294 (use of obscene language) and 506 (criminal intimidation) have been registered against him," Superintendent of Police Rabi Narayan Behera said.
The accused is absconding. The matter is being investigated, he said.
