The overall passing percentage in the state stood at 90.93. The passing percentage for girls was 91.56 compared to 90.30 of boys.
The results were announced this afternoon by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) which conducted the exam.
"In all 90.93 per cent students passed for the SSC examination. The result is five per cent more than the last year," GBSHSE Chairman J Rebello told reporters after announcing the results at board's building in Porvorim near here.
In all 19,867 students had appeared for the examination through different centres.
Rebello said 76 schools, including 17 government schools, secured cent percent results.
