Girls thrashed after eve-teasing incident

Three girls and their male friend were today assaulted here by a group of youths for protesting against eve-teasing, police said.
The three girls were talking to their male friend on the road between Patia and Nandankanan Zoo when two bike-borne youths allegedly passed some comments to the girls, they said.
The girls and the boy chased the bike riders to object their remarks but the men on the motorcycle fled from the spot, police said.
However, some other youths, suspected to be friends of the two bike riders, reached the spot and assaulted the four, they said.
"They abused us and assaulted us. They beat up our friend too," the girls said in the FIR registered at the Nandankanan Police Station.

The police are looking for the accused.
