Give 50 pc tickets to youth in Assembly polls: Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said 50 per cent of the party tickets should be given to young candidates in the ensuing Assembly elections and claimed main contest will be between Congress and BJP while INLD will be wiped out of the state in the polls.
"In the ensuing assembly elections, the main contest will be between Congress and BJP, whereas INLD will be wiped out," Hooda said while talking to reporters in Sonipat.
Hooda said that youth should be made party candidates on 50 per cent seats in the ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections and exhorted party workers to gear up for the battle ahead.

Earlier, addressing a party workers meet, Hooda claimed that the expectation of people, with which they had given mandate to BJP, was turning into resentment and it would continue to grow in the coming days.
"It will prove to be a daunting task for the Central government to fulfil the promises made to people during the Lok Sabha elections," said Hooda.
Haryana was much ahead of Gujarat in terms of development and gave comparative statistics of various development works in both the states to support his observations, Hooda said.
Speaking on the occasion, President of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), Ashok Tanwar stressed the need to further strengthen the organisation and said people should be made aware of various development works carried out by the state government during the last nine years.

Replying to a question, Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and co-incharge of Haryana Affairs Asha Kumari said as a result of complaints of sabotage and indiscipline in the party during the Lok Sabha elections, the district and block level units of the party have been dissolved.
