National Liberation Army (GNLA) was arrested and a huge cache of arms and ammunition found in his possession at a remote village in Meghalaya's North Garo Hills District today.
Griksang Marak alias Chuang was arrested from Salpara village under Mendipathar of the district, a senior police official said here.
On interrogating him, one sniper rifle with four magazines and 160 rounds of ammunition, one .303 rifle with four rounds of ammunition, one AK rifle with magazine and 35 rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.
One wireless set, GNLA training manual, two mobile sets, four SIM cards were recovered by the police, the officer said.
