"For the current financial year, till now, the fund flow has been 25 per cent higher from the corresponding year. This is despite the fact that mining is not bringing any revenue. If mining starts, we will be able to get it to 35 per cent," Parrikar told PTI.
The Parrikar-led government came to power in the state on March 9, 2012, after winning the Assembly elections.
The chief minister said the administration had totally collapsed when he took over the affairs of the state, which is now limping back to normalcy.
There was "total adamancy" by the then UPA Central government when BJP government took over in the state, he alleged.
"This adamancy continued till March (this year) and when the Central government officers started realising that Modi government would be elected, they started cooperating," he claimed.
The state government has also been accountable to the people. "We have dismissed 16 police officers. These are not suspensions, they are dismissals. No one fears suspension anymore because when they are suspended they get full salary," Parrikar said.
The government has also kept the financial and economic promises made to the electorate by offering social security schemes, despite Rs 3,000 crore revenue losses due to ban on the mining industry, he said.
