Wagh announced the news during an open forum session held on the sidelines of the 44th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
"Goa is organizing IFFI for the past 10 years now. So we thought it is time to experiment. We have decided to host the Asian film festival from 2014. We are organizing it in partnership with the Asian Film Foundation," Wagh said.
The festival will kick off in the month of February next year. ESG will host the event along with Asian Film Foundation, which has already been conducting the annual Asian Film Festival in Mumbai, Kolhapur and Pune every year.
