The GOC-in-C arrived at Rangiya's Red Horns Division yesterday and was briefed in detail on the ongoing counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations being undertaken against NDFB(S) following last December's attack on adivasis by the outfit.
The GOC-in-C expressed satisfaction on the progress of the operations and appreciated the efforts made by the formation to counter the rapidly changing situation in the region, the spokesman said.
Bakshi also expressed satisfaction over the population friendly approach and empathy displayed by the Army in conduct of the operations.
The GOC-in-C, accompanied by GOC Gajraj Corps Lt Gen Sarath Chand, had arrived at Rangiya after visiting the forward localities in Tawang Sector.
