"Godrej Appliances intend to undertake brownfield expansion at two of their existing home appliances manufacturing facilities based at Shirwal, near Pune and Mohali in Punjab," a company statement said.
The brownfield projects entail an investment of around Rs 200 crore and will help ramp up production of air conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators at both locations, it said.
"Through this expansion, we aim to take brand Godrej to even greater heights while showcasing the strength of Indian design and manufacturing expertise at its best," Godrej Appliances Business Head and EVP, Kamal Nandi said.
