Professor Raj Singh, the Vice Chancellor of the University, administered the pledge to over 600 sportspersons from 41 universities and institutes who are participating in Sportopia 2014.
The competing athletes are scheduled to participate in 10 events.
The two-day sports extravaganza will conclude on November 21 with a prize distribution function.
