Gogoi directs police to ensure peaceful Durga Puja festival

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today directed the police administration to step up security measures in the state to ensure smooth and peaceful celebrations of the upcoming Durga Puja festival.
Gogoi directed the police administration to keep an eye on sensitive Puja pandals and install Close Circuit Cameras to avert any untoward situation, said a government release.
Gogoi also directed the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the festive occasion.
