The gold bars, weighing two kg, were concealed in the shoes of the passenger, officials said here today.
Ibrahim Kaleel Ebrahim Kunhi, a native of Kasaragod in Kerala, had arrived at Mangalore Airport at 10 PM yesterday by an Air India Express Flight from Dubai.
He was arrested and produced before the Principal Civil Judge Senior Division and Chief Judicial Magistrate N S Patil, who remanded him in judicial custody till June 17.
