Gold biscuits worth Rs 1.01 crore seized from AI passenger

Gold bars weighing 3.35 kg and valued at Rs 1.01 crore have been seized from a passenger at Calicut international airport at nearby Karipur, DRI officials said today.
Nine gold bars of different weights were found inside the baggage of one Shabeer (24), who had arrived from Doha by an AI Express IX374 plane which landed at 9.00 pm yesterday, they said.
The passenger, a native of Pilassery near Kunnamangalam in the district, has been arrested, officials said.
