Silver also eased owing to speculative selling following reduced industrial offtake.
Standard gold (99.5 purity) fell by Rs 260 to end at Rs 25,985 per 10 grams from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 26,245.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) also slumped by a similar margin to conclude at Rs 26,135 per 10 grams as compared to Rs 26,395 previously.
Silver (.999 fineness) slipped by Rs 95 per kg to finish at Rs 35,725 from overnight level of Rs 35,820.
Gold for December delivery dropped USD 19 to settle at USD 1,102 an ounce, while December silver lost 17.90 cents to USD 14.576 an ounce.
