Gold worth Rs 24 lakh seized from passenger

Gold valuing Rs 24 lakh was seized today from a passenger who arrived at the airport here from Dubai, airport sources said.
Officials of Air Intelligence Unit of Customs recovered silver-coated gold rings weighing 770 gm from Muhamad Musammil Basha, a native of Tiruchirappally, they said.
He was found carrying them in three bags, the sources said.
