Golden Globe nomination is surreal: Bradley Cooper
The 37-year-old is nominated for his role in "Silver Linings Playbook" and he says he couldn't believe it when his name was read out, especially because it's not a big budget film, reported Daily Star.
"It's a small film and it's a word-of-mouth movie. The fact that it's getting this kind of attention means hopefully more people will go see it. We loved doing it. We care so much about the film and it's amazing to be recognised.
"And then on a personal level, it's just surreal... I grew up as the nerd who would wake up to watch the Golden Globe announcements. To hear Ed Helms say 'Silver Linings Playbook' was just incredible," Cooper said.
The actor is up against "Bernie" star Jack Black, Hugh Jackman of "Les Miserables", Ewan McGregor for "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" and Bill Murray from "Hyde Park on Hudson".
The 70th annual Golden Globes take place in Los Angeles on January 13 2013.
