Joint secretary to the Cabinet Secretariat, V P Joy, said this while attending a meeting of the Project Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI) here presided over by Odisha Chief Secretary G C Pati.
"We have reviewed 25 projects being implemented by public and private sectors. The progress has been good in railway and highway projects," Joy told reporters after attending the meeting.
Stating that time lines have been fixed for different projects, Joy said most of the projects were hit by land acquisition problems. "Some issues relating to private sectors were resolved on the spot," Joy said.
Besides, the important National Highway projects like Angul-Sambalpur and Panikoeli and Remuli were also discussed.
Asked about South Korean steel major Posco's proposed Rs 52,000 crore project, Joy said it was not discussed in the meeting.
