Goods train derails near Nagpur; traffic hit

A goods train derailed near here, disrupting traffic on the busy Nagpur-New Delhi route, Central Railway officials said this evening.
The freight train, coming to Nagpur from Itarasi in Madhya Pradesh, came off tracks at Sonkheda village near here past midnight last night, affecting train movement on both Up and Down lines, they said.
Due to the mishap, routes of around 22 trains were changed and they were diverted via Khandwa and Bhusaval. Trains were running late on the Nagpur-Itarasi route, the officials said, adding track restoration work was going on in fully swing and it would be completed soon.
