Terming Jammu and Kashmir government as synonymous with crime and corruption, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said this regime has miserably failed to implement central sponsored schemes in the state due to rampant corruption.
"The Omar Abdullah-led government has miserably failed to implement central sponsored schemes in the state due to rampant corruption," PDP spokesman and former minister Sardar Rangil Singh said in a statement here today.
Exposure of one scam after another and scandals reflect that during the past more than four years, ministers have only looted the public exchequer, Singh said.
Taking a cue from the statement of Union Minister Jairam Ramesh, the PDP spokesman said a Union Minister has lambasted the state government for its failure in implementing central sponsored schemes.
Miseries of common people have been mounting with every passing day, but the government is casual towards addressing basic problems.
Regretting that developmental activities have come to a halt while corruption has crossed all limits, Singh said various central sponsored schemes started during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed have been halted.
The PDP leader alleged that during the past more than four years, the National Conference regime has done nothing, but making promises and photo sessions.
