The two separate gazette notifications in this regard have come into force from June 13.
"The Central Government hereby establish the office of the Registrar of Companies at Hyderabad having territorial jurisdiction in the whole State of Telengana..," said a notification.
Consequently, the Registrar of Companies, Hyderabad would discharge all the functions for the purpose of registration of companies under the Companies Act in the state of Telengana.
The office at Hyderabad would consequently act as Official Liquidator for firms under the Companies Act.
On June 2, Telangana came into existence as the 29th state of India, capping the decades-old struggle in the region for carving out a separate state from Andhra Pradesh.
