Punjab government today said the allottees of immovable properties by the government, public sector undertaking or local bodies could get their first conveyance deeds registered at rates mentioned in allotment letters.
Punjab Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia said after considering the demand of allottees, a decision was taken by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Sigh Badal and notification in this regard has been issued.
He said this benefit is being extended at the time of execution of first conveyance deed of immovable properties (plot or house) to all those allottees, who have taken the possession of their properties after depositing their all installments.
He clarified this concession had been extended for only two months starting from April 8 till June 7, saying no extension will be given afterwards.
Earlier, allottees were required to get conveyance deed executed at collector rate that was linked to present market rate of property.
