The government is looking to fill up as many as 25 vacancies at fair trade watchdog CCI's investigation arm Director General's office.
Applications have been sought by CCI on behalf of the Corporate Affairs Ministry for posts of additional, joint and deputy director general levels.
Competition Commission of India (CCI) has the mandate to keep a tab on unfair trade practices at the market place.
When the watchdog finds prima facie evidence of violations of competition regulations, the case is referred for a detailed probe to the Director General (DG). In such instances, a final decision is taken by the CCI only after taking into consideration the DG's investigation report.
Out of the total 25 vacancies at the DG office, three are for additional director general posts and five are for joint director general positions.
The remaining posts are at the level of deputy director general.
All the positions would be filled up on deputation on foreign service basis and the applicants should be employees of central or state governments, government companies or autonomous bodies or regulatory authorities, among others, according to CCI.
The watchdog comes under the administrative control of the Ministry.
Initially, the appointments would be made for three years and could be extended up to five years.
For all the posts, experience in competition law and related matters is desirable for candidates.
