BJP leader Vinay Katiyar today urged the central and state governments to pave way for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, either through dialogue or by enacting a new law.
Addressing the party's Parivartan Yatra in Aligarh, he said there had been clashes 78 times for the construction of the Ram temple and if required, Ram bhakts were ready for another show of strength for the purpose.
"It is my request to the state and central governments to pave way for the construction of Ram temple either through dialogue or by enacting a new law," Katiyar was quoted was saying in a BJP release issued here.
On Samajwadi Party government of the state, he said it was not doing justice to the people of the state.
"All the promises made to the people by the Akhilesh Yadav government are proving to be an eyewash. None of the projects have been completed and half-finished projects, whether it is Lucknow metro project or Agra-Lucknow expressway, were being inaugurated," he said.
Attacking opposition parties, the BJP leader said ever since demonetisation, BSP has lost its balance, Congress has become irrelevant and SP thinks it can sail through only if it manages to get into an alliance with any other party.
Stressing that ancient name of Aligarh was Harigarh, he said if voted to power in the state, BJP will adopt the old name of the district.
