GPs to have high speed net connectivity by 2018: CM Fadnavis

All the Gram Panchayats in Maharashtra will have high speed internet connectivity by December 2018, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said today.
"All the Gram Panchayats in the state will have high speed internet connectivity by December 2018. The net connectivity will help in improving quality of schools and health services in rural areas," said Fadnavis at Compex exhibition organised by Vidarbha Computer and Media Dealer Welfare Association here.
"Various initiatives are being implemented in the state on the lines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India campaign," Fadnavis said.
Elaborating further, he said implementation of internet connectivity by December 2018 in rural areas will help the administration, education, healthcare and agriculture in a big way.

It will bridge the gap between the city and villages, Fadnavis said.
