Gram, its dal rise on pick up in demand

In restricted activities, gram and its dal prices were higher by up to Rs 300 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today following pick up in demand from retailers.
Traders said uptick in demand from retailers against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram edged up to Rs 5,750- 6,800 from previous level of Rs 5,550-6,500 per quintal. Its dal localand best quality were also higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,100-7,400 and Rs 7,500-7,600 per quintal, respectively.
