Gram, its dal strengthen on persistent buying

Gram and its dal prices advanced by Rs 500 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on persistent buying by stockists.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range and settled at previous levels.
Traders said increased buying by stockists against restricted supplies from growing regions mainly kept gram and its dal prices higher.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality rose further by Rs 500 each to Rs 9,000-9,250, Rs 9,400-9,600 and Rs 9,700-9,800 per quintal respectively.
Besin Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted higher at Rs 3,800 each instead of Rs 3,380 each per 35 kg.
