Gram sevak arrested on graft charges in Ahmednagar

A Gram sevak was today arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths after he was caught red-handed while taking bribe from a peon in order to furnish his due salary amount, in Nevasa taluka of Ahmednagar district.
Gram sevak Balasaheb Bhagwan Bhosale, working in Mouje Shiregaon Gram Panchayat office, had demanded Rs 7,500 from an office peon to give him his due salary for the period from April, 2015 to November, 2015, an ACB press release said.
Bhosale was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount following a trap laid by the ACB officials, it said, adding he was arrested.
