Grant for Bharathiar University

The UGC and Department of Science and Technologoy (DST) have awarded a grant of Rs 3.63 crore to Bharathiyar university for conducting research activities.
The Bioinformatics, Zoology, Microbnial Biotechnology and Botany departments would get the grant, a university press released said here today.
The UGC also granted a start up grant of Rs 10 lakh each to seven newly recruited Assistant Professors who have been appointed during November 2016 to establish basic scientific research laboratories, it said.
