Groundnut oil hardens on seasonal demand

Groundnut oil hardened further in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on persistent demand from stockists and retailers amidst higher festive offtake.
Meanwhile, refined palmolein moved down further due to absence of retail offtake.
In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial and linseed oil all ruled stable following lack of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnut oil shot-up by Rs 20 per 10kg to Rs 840 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 820, However, refined palmolein fell by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 508 as compared to Rs 510 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseedoil all closed unchanged at Rs 4,050 per 100kg, Rs 840 and Rs 765 per 10kg.
