Groundnut oil prices jump on festive offtake

Groundnut oil prices climbed at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on good demand from stockists as well as retailers on the back of ensuing festivities.
While, refined palmolein edged down owing to lack of retail buying support.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered slightly on mild offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, linseed oil maintained a steady trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activities.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil spurted by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 965 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 950.
However, refined palmolein softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 485 from Rs 486.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold moved up by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 3,635 from previous closing level of Rs 3,625 and castor oil commercial added Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 757 from Rs 755, respectively.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 760 per 10 kg.
